LG covers the 29EA73-P with a one-year warranty on parts, labor, and backlight. You also get LG's Screen Split app that lets you create multiple screen sections. The 29EA73-P is Calibration-ready and comes with True Color Finder software which lets you create a calibrated profile using an optional (not included) hardware calibrator such as the Datacolor Spyder4 PRO or the X-Rite ColorMunki. There are also sub-menus that let you adjust picture-in-picture settings, enable ECO modes, choose one of five picture presets, adjust sharpness and black level, and change gamma, color temperature, and six-color settings. The function buttons are used to navigate the on-screen display menus, where you can change picture and audio attributes, including brightness, contrast, volume, input selection, and aspect ratio.

There are four function buttons and a power switch located beneath the lower bezel. While it's certainly nice having USB connectivity it would be even nicer if a couple of the ports were located on the side on the monitor where they would be much easier to reach. Here you'll also find DisplayPort and dual-link DVI connectors, two downstream USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an upstream USB port, an audio input, and a headphone jack. The back of the cabinet is host to two HDMI ports, one of which doubles as a MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) port that lets you connect to a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. The two down-firing 7-watt speakers are moderately loud and distortion-free. The 11.5-pound monitor is supported by a round cut out stand that gives you 25 degrees of tilt (5 degrees forward, 20 degrees backward), but it lacks the height, swivel, and pivot adjustments that you get with the Acer B296CL. The cabinet is slightly curved and done up in a glossy black finish with an LG logo etched across the back panel. It uses a bezel-free design that makes the panel seem larger than it's already massive 29 inches. However, the USB ports are all around back, and the stand doesn't provide much in the way of adjustability.Īs with most LG products, the 29EA73-P is stylish.

Dual-monitor setups are ideal for users who require lots of screen real estate, but they tend to take up an awful lot of desktop space and can create a cabling nightmare.
